Birthday Wishes for Fr. Varghese

Area families, orphans, and widows
celebrated Fr. Varghese's birthday with a
special meal at Sacred Heart Mission.

Fr. Varghese celebrated his September 11th birthday by offering a meal to his faithful, orphans and widows, and to poor fishermen's families who live along the coast. He gave saris to needy widows and celebrated Mass with four visiting priest friends from his Diocese of Visakhapatnam.

Friends in the U.S. sent this birthday greeting.

Young friends in the U.S. helped create and messaged a "Happy Birthday" greeting to Father, and sent gifts to help provide groceries and supplies for the festivities. Fr. Varghese received the vestments from a U.S. pastor who graciously shared them from his closet, while Fr. Varghese visited America this summer. Fr. Varghese distributed the vestments among his fellow mission priests on his special day.
